1. Find a convenient location to host your home game. (My church, my store, etc.) Find a place that's convenient for you and take it there. Set up a game area with play cards, and then shuffle up to make deals! Chairs should be square and neat. (My fave is length-relative-to-handbooks-recommended, who I also use at my non- denomination table games.
2. Get some nice green felt. It does not matter if it is expensive, just get some clean, soft,igee colored felt and spread it out over your card area. You should not spread it too much as you will mark fewer cards if it gets all over them. Next, you need to find or choose the right poker fabric. Although you may have to spend more money for better quality, the longer games are worth it. Genericmeter felt works better for budget-friendly applications. Ace Duece Multicolor is not yet used by anyone, but it's possible. A standard green is $10.00; each additional color is $1.00
3. Pick out a cheap poker deck. Although this may seem like a decision for a dollar store, there are still decently priced cards available in the paper section at your local store. You can find these cards in almost any size for as low as $5, similar to poker fabric. You'll be able to save a bit of money if you get suited cards.
4. Grab your cards and chips. It doesn't matter what material you use, as long as it lasts.
5. As I have said, make sure that you get the right poker cards. Stretchedpaper (100%) is the best material. You can start with paper, as you did with all the other articles in this article. Yes, you can use staples but make sure to cut the paper to the exact size that you require.
6. Fold the cards by rolling them out to the edges. This will give you a raised area to staple to your card. You can either use a stapler or stamps depending on what you prefer. You can seal the card by placing it on the surface and trimming.
7. You will now need to trim the card's edges with a knife. Top off the card using your staples or tape.
8. Do the same thing with the other card. You can now cover both cards with the same process. Attach it tightly (about 1/4") to the edge. Pat the card down straight in the middle.
9. This process can be repeated until all the cards you want have been applied.
10. You should now have smooth poker cards. To restore bounce, wipe your cards with a damp cloth before you move on.
11. In case you have picked up any speckles in the application process, use a cleaner to saturate the cards.
12. Iron the cards using a round iron. The bottom edge should not be visible.
13. Sear the ends of your cards with a diagonal saw or very smallhatchet. It doesn't need be perfect. Once you are able to get theosition correct, the felt will flow right off the cards.
14. Use stamps to transform the cards. When you get a pattern that isn't a straight line or flush, use a stamp imprintedon the opposite side of the card. Use a glue gun. You can press the felt to bond the opposite side.
15. After all cards are placed, soak them in warm water. Mix a little soap with water.
16. After you are done, just cover the cards using a soft cloth. To dry the cards, you may use a soft towel. Just make sure you don't get any bleeding on the cards.
17. You are now ready to start playing with the cards.
